This is a vintage baby Effanbee Bubbles doll . It is 22 inches and very hard to find in this size. Eyes open when sitting and when you lay down eyes close. The back side of neck area has the markings Effanbee, 1924.
This estate find, an antique Effanbee composition 14" doll was introduced in 1924 as Dolly Bubbles, a smaller version of the "Bubbles" line of dolls. She has tin eyes, blonde painted hair, a composition head and arms and a cloth body with cloth lower body. She has some paint peeling in some areas. The cloth body has some staining consistent with aging. She is wearing a vintage knit pink dress and knit pink shorts.She is wearing a beautiful knit bonnetd white bonnet.
NOTES: THIS DOLL IS 101 YEARS OLD. SHE HAS BEEN REPAINTED. FINGERNAILS AND TOENAILS PAINTED. SHE HAS A CRACK ON LEFT SIDE OF HER HEAD. SOME STAINS ON CLOTH BODY. SOME COMPOSITION CHIPS. CRIER DOES NOT WORK.
