This exquisite hand-carved statue depicts Hariti, child protector and goddess of fertility. Statue originates from the village of Mas in Bali, Indonesia, a region renowned for its master woodcarvers. Dated approximately to the 1950s–1970s, this piece is signed on the base:
"K. RODJA MAS BALI INDONESIA"—a testament to the skilled artisan behind its creation.

Hariti is a Buddhist and Hindu goddess associated with fertility and protection, particularly of children, having initially been a demoness who snatched children before being converted by the Buddha. The goddess is sometimes depicted stomping on a child with a snake coming out of its mouth.

Crafted from Suar wood statue measures 5" x 5" x 17" Tall.
