Very rare First Edition, First Printing Classic 1960’s Reformed Judaism Textbook for Teens, “The Rabbi’s Bible, Volume One: Torah.” Published in 1966 by Behrman House, Inc. of New York City. Written or compiled by Solomon Simon and Morrison David Bial with editorial assistance of Hannah Grad Goodman. Woodcuts by Irwin Rosenhouse.

221 pages plus an index of Talmudic Sources. Cloth cover. No dust jacket because it never had one.

Very good to excellent condition for this hard to find 1966 book (almost 60 year old book).

Although it was popular in 1966, it never reprinted except for a more widely printed paperback version from 1966-1972, apparently few of these books remain today. If you can find one, it’s bound to show use of a typical teenager and not be in any condition close to this book.

This is now an historical book that’s collectible by experts in the field to know what Hebrew schools or Sunday Schools were teaching kids in the Baby Boom era of the 1960’s.
